Breast revision surgery in Korea - capsular contracture correction

I had breast augmentation 8 years ago and have developed capsular contracture in one breast. It has become hard and is sitting higher than the other breast. I am considering going to Korea for revision surgery. Has anyone had breast revision surgery in Korea for capsular contracture? What was the process like? Did they replace the implant with a different type? How much more expensive is revision compared to primary surgery? I am really hoping to finally have symmetrical, soft breasts after this revision.

Capsular contracture causing a hard, high-riding breast is a classic revision indication and is correctable. Revision typically involves capsulectomy (removing the scar capsule), often changing the implant type or pocket (e.g., switching plane or to a textured/smooth or different surface implant) and sometimes adding support — the exact plan depends on your findings. Revision is more complex and usually more expensive than your original surgery, and results take time to settle. Achieving soft, symmetric breasts is a realistic goal with an experienced revision surgeon; ask specifically about their contracture-recurrence approach and follow post-op massage/care instructions closely. This is general information — an in-person consultation with a board-certified specialist is the only way to get advice tailored to your anatomy and goals.
