St. Mary's Jin Eye Center (성모진안과의원, formerly known by its romanization "Seongmojin") is led by two MD/PhD ophthalmologists who both trained as professors at The Catholic University of Korea's Seoul St. Mary's Hospital — one of Korea's most prestigious academic medical centers. The clinic combines this academic depth with state-of-the-art technology to deliver world-class vision correction, cataract surgery, retinal care, and dry eye treatment in the heart of Gangnam.

The clinic operates with a dual-specialist model: Dr. Park Jin-hyung covers retinal disease, cataract, and refractive surgery, while Dr. Park Jae-hyun specializes in anterior segment, refractive surgery, and dry eye. Both remain active as adjunct professors at Catholic University Medical School and certified instructors of the Korean Ophthalmological Society.

I had 3 IPL treatments for dry eye syndrome. The effect is good, but the cost is a bit of a burden. The procedure itself was quick, about 10 minutes, with hardly any pain.

In my mid-40s I had a comprehensive eye exam, and they did it thoroughly for two and a half hours. It included everything down to a retinal OCT. The doctor explained the results personally, which was great.

Since it was LASEK, recovery was a bit uncomfortable for 3-4 days, but I'm satisfied for the price. I did both eyes for 1.5 million won. It's on the reasonable side for the Gangnam area.

My elementary-school child's myopia was progressing fast, so we got Dream Lenses (ortho-k). There was a bit of an adjustment period, but now they get around fine during the day without glasses. The regular checkups are thorough too.

I came in because a health checkup suggested possible glaucoma, and they did OCT and visual field tests thoroughly. It's early stage, so I'm managing it with eye drops. They take good care of regular checkups.

My father in his 70s had Clareon Vivity lenses, and after surgery he even reads the newspaper without glasses. Since the doctor is a former St. Mary's Hospital professor, his explanations were medical and accurate.
